Privacy Policy

Patch is a garden diary app for home gardeners. This policy explains what Patch stores, who helps us run it, and how you can get your data out or delete it. Short version: we keep what you put into your garden so the app works, we don't sell it, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect
- Your email address, used only to sign you in with a one-time code.
- What you put into your garden: plant records, photos, diary entries, care logs, spots and light check-ins, your wishlist, and the notes you write.
- AI usage records: when you use an AI feature we log the feature used, the model, the size of the request and how long it took. This lets us apply the monthly AI allowance and keep costs in check.
- Messages you send us: if you use the form on the community page, we keep your message, the contact you choose to leave (optional), and which weekly card it's about. Only the person who runs Patch can read them.
- Crash reports: if the app crashes, a technical report (device model, OS version, what the app was doing) is sent so we can fix it. It does not include your email, photos or notes.
We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifiers or browsing history. Patch has no ads and no marketing analytics.
AI features
AI is optional. Before the first AI request Patch asks for your permission, and you can switch it off at any time in Settings. When you tap an AI feature (identify a plant, check your work, ask Patch, assess a wish), Patch sends the photos you chose, what you wrote to Patch, and a short summary of that plant's record to Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic. Notes you write to yourself are never sent. Anthropic processes this to produce the answer and does not use it to train its models. Everything else in Patch works without AI.

Some of these services may process data outside Australia. We only share what each one needs to do its job.
Photos on your phone
Photos taken inside Patch are compressed and uploaded to your garden. If you turn on "Keep originals", the full-size original is saved to your phone's photo library, which stays on your phone. Patch only reads photos you pick.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Your data is kept for as long as you have an account.
- Export: Settings → Export my data gives you all your records as a JSON file.
- Delete: Settings → Delete account permanently deletes your account, garden, records and photos from our servers straight away. It can't be undone.
Children
Patch is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Your rights and contact
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information at any time. Reach us through the community page. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.

Patch 是一款给家庭园丁用的花园日记 App。这份说明讲清楚：我们存什么、谁帮我们运行、你怎么导出或删除自己的数据。一句话版本：我们只存你放进花园的东西，好让 App 能用；不卖数据、没有广告、不跨 App 跟踪你。
我们收集什么
- 邮箱：只用来发一次性验证码登录。
- 你放进花园的内容：居民档案、照片、日记、动手记录、地点与光照打卡、心愿单，以及你写的话。
- AI 使用记录：用了哪个 AI 功能、哪个模型、请求大小和耗时，用来计算每月 AI 额度、控制成本。
- 你写给我们的话：用社区页的意见卡时，我们保存你写的内容、你选填的联系方式和它关于哪张周卡；只有做 Patch 的人能看到。
- 崩溃报告:App 崩溃时发送一份技术报告（机型、系统版本、当时在做什么），方便我们修复；不含你的邮箱、照片和文字。
我们不收集你的位置、通讯录、广告标识或浏览记录。Patch 没有广告，也没有营销统计。
AI 功能
AI 是可选的。第一次用之前 Patch 会先问你，之后随时可以在「设置」里关掉。你点 AI 功能（认居民、验收、问问 Patch、心愿评估）时，Patch 会把你选的照片、你写给 Patch 的话、这位居民的档案摘要发给 Anthropic 公司的 Claude 模型。你「写给自己」的日记永远不发。Anthropic 只用这些内容生成回答，不拿来训练模型。不用 AI，其他功能照常可用。

其中部分服务可能在澳洲境外处理数据。每家只拿到它干活需要的那部分。
手机里的照片
在 Patch 里拍的照片会压缩后上传到你的花园。打开「拍照时存原图」时，原图存进你手机的相册，留在你的手机上。Patch 只读取你主动选的照片。
保存与删除
- 账号存在期间，数据一直保存。
- 导出：设置 → 导出我的数据，得到全部记录的 JSON 文件。
- 删除：设置 → 删除账号，会立即从服务器上永久删除你的账号、花园、记录和照片，无法恢复。
儿童
Patch 不面向 13 岁以下儿童，我们不会有意收集他们的信息。
你的权利与联系方式
你随时可以要求查看、更正或删除自己的信息，联系方式见社区页。对答复不满意，可以联系澳大利亚信息专员办公室(oaic.gov.au)。
变更
政策有改动时会更新上面的日期；改动较大时会在 App 里告诉你。
